The team's view

Alphaville arrives at Le Bataclan for the first time on 13 June 2026! Featuring cult 80s hits like Forever Young and a new energy on stage, the legendary band are back, more alive than ever. It's a not-to-be-missed evening for fans of retro pop and the curious looking for a moment out of time!

About

Alphaville was founded in 1983 in Münster by Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd and Frank Mertens. With hits such as "Big in Japan", "Sounds Like a Melody" and "Forever Young", the band became one of Germany's most popular in the 1980s.

After releasing seven studio albums and touring internationally, Alphaville returned to the German charts in 2010 with the album 'Catching Rays On Giant', supported by the top 10 single 'I Die For You Today'. In 2022, the band scored another hit with their symphonic triple album 'Eternally Yours', which reached the top 5 of the charts. This was followed by a series of sold-out concerts with the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2024, Alphaville released the compilation "Forever! Best of 40 Years", produced with the help of fans. At the same time, "Forever Young" enjoyed an international comeback: the song went viral on TikTok, reached number one in the Billboard charts and made a comeback in a new version signed by David Guetta, Alphaville and Ava Max.

In 2025, Alphaville was awarded the European Culture Prize. With concerts scheduled until 2026 and a new studio album in the pipeline, Alphaville is set to conquer new horizons.

Current line-up: Marian Gold (vocals), Carsten Brocker (keyboards), Alexandra Merl (bass), David Goodes (guitar), Jakob Kiersch (drums).
